Scampston Park Lodges is a prestigious development of luxury holiday lodges for sale in North Yorkshire. Hidden away in the Vale of Pickering, our park is located close to the historic market town of Malton and within easy distance of York and Scarborough.

We offer luxury holiday lodges for sale in a secure, private haven that has all the benefits of a home from home. Relaxing country walks, golf, fishing and much more are all well within reach of our idyllic lodge park. There is no sub-letting of lodges at Scampston, so that you can enjoy an undisturbed, quiet and tranquil retreat.

Our park is quiet yet family-friendly and designed to feel spacious and open. The lodge park has several lakes, meaning that almost every lodge enjoys a water view. We offer our lodge owners plenty of space between neighbours, ensuring that no-one is overlooked. The park is gated for security and offers individual and guest parking.

Being part of the historic Scampston Estate, we also offer beautiful ‘Capability’ Brown parkland and the award-winning Scampston Walled Garden, together with its café and plant nursery. Our lodge owners all receive free family season passes to all these wonderful facilities on your doorstep.

Be Part of History

“Our family has lived at Scampston since the 17th Century. Our history is your future security”  Chris Legard, Owner of Scampston Hall.

Scampston Park Lodges is set within the beautiful estate of Scampston Hall. The family have stewarded the estate for generations, utterly absorbed in the task, and relishing the beauty of the landscape and all it offers. Owning a lodge at Scampston allows you the unique opportunity to own a slice of this historical and prestigious estate.

As a family-run business, we offer personable service to all our prospective and current lodge owners. A complimentary annual membership to our visitor attraction is also included when you buy a lodge, which includes access to our award-winning walled garden and 70-acre ‘Capability’ Brown parkland, along with discounts in the plant nursery.

A Commitment to Sustainability

Here on the park, we take a proactive approach to sustainability, from the lodges we choose to the flora and fauna planted. Scampston Park Lodges has received the Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award for several years in a row now. As one of the longest running green tourism awards in the UK, this accolade demonstrates our commitment to protecting and enhancing the environment around us.

We seek eco-friendly lodges with FSC certified timber products, maximum insulation, and renewable energy. Recycling is a big part of our park’s ethos, and you can find well-sited and screened recycling facilities near the entrance to the park.

Perfectly Situated

We believe our lodge park is the perfect spot for a holiday home. Situated midway between the historic city of York and the seaside town of Scarborough, there is plenty to see and do in the area. Just five miles from the idyllic market town of Malton and nestled within the Vale of Pickering, this is an area with real character.

Within just 25 miles, there are over 100 Yorkshire Tourist Board recognised visitor attractions, from Castle Howard to the North York Moors Railway. For walkers and cyclists, the Wolds and Moors are situated very nearby with excellent views and cycle routes. The North Yorkshire Coast is home to many picturesque towns, including Whitby, Ravenscar and Robin Hood’s Bay. This area of Britain’s coastline is known as Yorkshire’s Dinosaur Coast and is the perfect spot to hunt for fossils while enjoying breath-taking views all around.

Whether it’s a peaceful walk or a bustling historic town you’re looking for, there is something for everyone here. Scampston has kept our family happy and healthy for hundreds of years. We know it has a lot to offer yours, too.

A Quiet Haven

Scampston Park Lodges offers an alfresco lifestyle for you and your family with all the comforts of home and is designed to be the perfect rural holiday retreat. The park is a quiet, peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of life. With most of our lodges enjoying a tranquil lake view, it is the perfect spot to see the sunrise from the comfort of a lounger on your deck or enjoy breakfast outside.

With a minimum of 12 metres between each lodge, along with small groups of broadleaved trees planted between lodges, the park provides plenty of private space between neighbours. As we don’t allow subletting or rental lodges on the park, you are able to enjoy the calm character of the park with family and friends. On slightly more energetic days, there is a tennis court on site for the exclusive use of the owners.

High Quality, Bespoke Lodge Designs

We work closely with every prospective lodge owner to ensure that their lodge is tailored to their lifestyle, meaning each lodge will be as individual as its owner. We offer you the opportunity to sit down with our designers and choose everything from the sizing and external colour of the lodge to the interior layout and décor suited to your taste. Whether you are set on sophisticated neutrals or prefer a wild mix of colour and print, we have what you need to make your dream home a reality.

Our Lodges are sourced from the premier suppliers in the country, ensuring their quality and longevity, and that buying a lodge at Scampston is a real investment for the future. Our lodge manufactures have been handpicked for their commitment to quality, varied range of styles and specifications, and unrivalled after-sales service.

Lissett Homes have a thirty-year track record of delivering the finest quality lodges in a variety of styles with quality, complex and elegance in mind. Retreat Homes combine traditional hand-crafted building methods with complex architectural elements to create environmentally conscious lodges that are of the highest quality and finish.

Close to Nature

Our park is praised for being a very quiet and natural park with good views of the night sky. The perimeter is bordered with native hedgerows around mature coniferous belts of woodland and small groups of broadleaved trees between lodges. Bird and bat boxes, as well as hedgehog houses, have been built and placed around the park using recycled timber.

Our lakes have been built with wildlife in mind, with excellent wildlife-friendly banks and planting to attract a whole array of creatures. Many of our lodge owners have chosen our park specifically to enjoy the natural location and spend time watching the wildlife found here.

We have recently been awarded the Woodland Badge and Honey-Bee Friendly Badge within the David Bellamy Conservation Award.
